If this is the first time you have ever had vaginal bleeding, and you are at the puberty stage, then yes, this would have been your first period!!
The spotting and change of colors is normal. Your body will have an irregular cycle for a while, maybe even up to two years. It needs to regulate itself. This means your period will sometimes come really early, really late, just on time.
The flow will change from heavy, to light, to moderate. The colors will change as well. Your first period isn't likely to be that heavy, but it varies from woman to woman.
So for the next little while, don't worry about your period, it will be completely out of whack. If you aren't sexually active, then any spotting before or right after your period shouldn't be anything to worry about. |
