Some time back a friend told me about a new type of alternative self-help, which he claimed was partly based off chinese medicine. Problem is, I stupidly forgot what he called it, so I can't look up information about it.
The idea was that you could treat minor aches and pains by selecting some object in your vicinity that appealed to you (he talked about finding something with the right vibrations, I didn't understand all of it). Then you would hold that object to your ear, and wait until you feel synched with it. After that you'd hold it against whatever body part that was troubling you, and try to sync with it again. Then the pain should go away, he said.
Does anyone know what this type of therapy is called, so I can look it up? Or if you know more about it, can you explain how it works? Has anyone here tried it? |
