I'm going through severe withdrawal after cutting down on my Zoloft. I'm almost completely weaned off, but the withdrawal symptoms are so debilitating. I'm extremely tired and sad, and I'm having trouble concentrating. I don't have motivation or energy to do anything. I need some help getting back on my feet so I can have a normal life. I have an appointment with a new doctor tomorrow, and I would like to know if anyone takes any medications to help with the symptoms. I take Benadryl and vitamins every day. But are there any prescription meds I could ask the doctor about? I don't want to go back on an SSRI, but I can't take this any longer!

I'm a little late considering that you've already seen your doctor. One thing i would strongly suggest is that you don't take Benadryl, it can have sedative effects which won't help the fact that you're tired. Your doctor may prescribe Wellbutrin because it isn't an SSRI, it is in fact a completely different story with Wellbutrin. I'm curious to know what your doctor did. Please let me know

Sincerely,
A Stranger......

He gave me an RX for Paxil. I can't believe it. I feel like no doctor will listen to me. I told him I don't want to be on an SSRI. I don't even want to be on an AD. I'm not depressed! But I can't keep going to different doctors, it's getting too expensive. I've been to four different doctors in the past 4 months. I guess I'll just have to stick it out.... Sad
