Hi, I was referred to a hematologist to have my blood checked. I am very worried because I have migraine and don’t see any relation between it and a hematologist.

Hi, I believe that most of disorders can be observed by blood tests, since all essential enzymes and other body ingredients are present in the blood. Hematology is the branch of internal medicine exploring blood, the blood-forming organs and blood diseases.
You can be sent to a dermatologist to have checked if your migraine has any organic background or does it derive from stress. Hematologist can consider your disease from a different point of view than a general practitioner. Anemia, as causing insufficient oxygen supply can induce migraine. In this case a hematologist involvement in treating is appreciated.
