Hi. Many things could be the cause of hematuria, such as kidney stones, kidney disease, bladder stones, meds (quinine, rifampin, phenytoin), trauma, tumors, cancer in the urinary system, infection of the urinary tract, and STDs. You are to young to have BPH, it occurs in men over 40. Some rare diseases can also be the cause of hematuria, such as sickle cell anemia, lupus, and von Hippel-Landau disease. Treatment depends on the underlying cause.
