Hemorrhoid surgery 5 weeks ago - still burning. How long is this going to last?

I am still having painful BM's - so much burning afterwards. Can anyone tell me when they felt back to normal.

Also, I want to exercise more. I have been walking and doing the eliptical machine at the gym. Did anyones doctor give them specific instructions about exercise.

My doctor has been USELESS with post-op help. Someone please respond!!! Thanks
