I have been suffering from hemorrhoids for a while now. But lately it seems that everytime i go out and party and drink alcohol in mass quantities at somepoint the hemorrhoids protrude. By the end of the night I feel them sticking out and the next day because of the irritation they tend to bleed. I plan to have surgery soon but in the meantime what can I do to prevent or avoid this. It only happens shen drinking alcohol. Help please!! Thanks.

I know how you feel. I quit drinking coz i was always bleeding after i drink. I even do still sometimes now but not very often. Its scary seeing the blood and knowing you cant enjoy a drink without worrying about what will happen. Short story is No Drinking at all. It doesnt bother me anymore. Only no1 understands it and you cant exactly tell them the reason. I was told surgery is the most painful and they sometimes come back so can i please tell you not to go for surgery. There are some great alternative treatments out there i am yet to try but as a fellow sufferer of 6 years now i think i can advise you best. Just excercise more. Drink water and non sugar content foods. Reduce ur sugar intake and search alternative methods of treatment but avoid going under the knife.
I hope i have reassured u ur not the only one and i hope you take my advice.
man i am so glad to know i am not the only one... my doctor says alcohol cant cause more bleeding but i think it does... every time i have a drink the next day i see blood on the toilet bowl which is very scary.... i tried to quit drinking but its not that easy... i am only 22.... i was hoping to get surgery but i dont know yet...
