I'm going to a Doctor on Monday, and hopefully he'll have the official answer, but here are the symptoms, somebody please tell me something before then before I go out of my skull.

1) Itchy rash on the upper thighs, penis, and lower stomach, particularly bad at night almost non-existent by day. Sometimes the itching will spread to my wrists or forearms or shins. In some places (hips, thighs) there are things that look like bug bites. One has been there for 3 weeks at least. The rash appears to be reactive to heat--when I take a hot shower it gets much worse and then subsides.

2) Last week I noticed a bump on my penis, which grew quite large and then seemed to subside almost immediately. It was never painful, however a subsequent bump appeared which did itch quite a bit. The itching bump and the body rash intensified about the same time. As the swelling went down, there did appear to be some scabbing, though there was never any fluid visibly leaking from it. It did not appear to burst. Nor was anything particularly sore. The bumps appear to have a definite center, but I wouldn't call it a 'dimple' per se. A third bump appeared on my scrotum yesterday morning.

Recent history: last sexual encounter was one month ago- unprotected oral sex and the time prior was a month before that, same deal.

Is there any STD that would be consistent with this kind of full body rash/inflammation? If not, what do I have?

Arrrgh.

It sounds like the herpes virus but the shingles type although it's rather erratic. It is possible to get herpes from someone from oral sex if they have a sore on their mouth.

I agree it does sound like herpes, with the sores and reoccurance of them and all. I have recently found out that I have herpes and I haven't even had any symptoms. My doctor told me that I need to be on suppressive therapy like Valtrex or Acyclovir, if I want to reduce the risk of giving it to my girl friend. But they are also supposed to help treat out breaks and control the symptoms. I have attached a few links with more information. Good luck.
