Gday,
Just got a blood test a couple of weeks ago and am trying to work out a few things.
My ALT level is now 77 u/L where 6 months ago it was 31 u/L. My other levels are within the brackets AST 29u/L, Alk. Phos 67 u/L and GGT 26u/L.
The doctor said the sudden jump might be as I had been taking glocosomin tablets for my joints and to go back in another 6months to check out results again with out any glocosimin between now and then. I am a heavy binge drinker on the weekend.
What is ALT and how can I help get it back lower? Do Foods make it vary much?

Regards Troy
