Hot Flashes & No Sleep

I've had hot flashes off & on for last 2 1/2 years. They wake me up and then I can't get back to sleep. I Tried a prescription which worked but made me feel groggy and stupid at the same time. Any ideas??? Is there I should do to get back to sleep?? Thanks

Hot flashes, or flushes, are the most common symptom of menopause, affecting more than 60 percent of menopausal women. How old are you?? Are you in menopause?? Have you tried any of those herbal meds for that problem? If you are in menopause, then HRT relieves the discomfort of hot flashes in most cases. Vitamin E may offer minor relief.
