Me too!! on the palms and fingers only.
I usually get one to start and then 3-4 localised around the starting 1.
then they can pop up anywhere on either of my hands.
the bumps are painful/very tender at the start but the pain stops after a week and they have a red dot in the center.
I checked the mighty internet regarding rashes on the palms of hands. a scarey one that came up was syphilis. i had bloods done and it came back negative.
My doctor perscribed a strong steroid cream. the rash clears after about 2 weeks but comes back after about 2 weeks.
I have a high stress job. am male and 32 years old.
anyone else know what this is?? |

| think about this...do you cook? Does grease spatter on your hand? Could you have little burn marks? You don't so much feel it when it spatters on your hand but you see the results a day later? |

| I have something like this too. I get it every once in a while and just on my sides of the fingers. If you are stressed out, it sounds like it is dyshidrosis. |

I get the same things. They had gotten so bad the last time that my finger prints were gone. The skin on my finger tips is very smooth and thin> very painful with hot things and sensitive to the touch. My Dr gave me some steriod cream and it got better after a couple of weeks, but now it is back I am not looking forward to another round of this!! My hair has also been falling out for months now. I have been tested for lupus, thyroid abnormalities, cortisol levels (cushings disease and addisons). All of my blood work came back normal. What is this????? |

Hi, yes I get the same thing too. I get small clear spots on my fingers and palms which can get very painful and itchy. Sometimes they have a dark centre, but not always.
I usually get them when I'm stressed. I used to get them really bad over exam time at school. I also get them if I spend too long out in intense sunshine.
My doctor said it was nothing to worry about and gave me topical steroid creams to put on them. It helps take away the itching and pain but it doesn't stop them from appearing.
After doing some research on my own, I think it is dyshidrosis eczema. |

Erythromelalgia - 3 types (I and III are adult types and type II is seen in children)
type II - may be familial
clinical symptoms - episodes of redness, warmth, burning and pain in extremities (hands or feet)
can be triggered by heat or exercise as well as anxiety/stress
treatment - cooling hands or holding hands above the heart
labs - can check a CBC (blood count) to look for abnormalities in the platelets, but not necessarily recommended in children.
My child get these flare ups. I took picures and emailed them to the Dernatogolidt Above was her answer |
