It is exactly how it sounds. My friend suffers from Bowel movents that usualy last from 45 minutes to 2 hours and happens multiple times a day. It has affected his life in serious ways and has resulted in him being fired from multiple jobs. He refuses to seek help so i feel responsible to figure out whats wrong with him

Please Help!!!

I do this three times per day. This has gone on for 18 years ish. I suffered from terrible anal/rectal pain from September 2006 till march 2008 (with some breaks in the pain, but over winter 2007-march 2008 I was in constant pain and unable to sleep). Sometimes I'll go, then have a desperate urge to go again straight away and there will be some bits, then 10 mins later another copious bout. I've kind of leaned to plan my life around it. When I went to the doctor about the pain he was convinced it's caused by anxiety. I was in so much pain, and so tired at the time, I just told him I went to the loo three times per day without really going into detail. I'm not lactose intolerant. I eat a pretty high fibre diet. I'm wondering if it'ssome sort of inflammatory bowel disease. I did lose a load of weight last winter, but have mostly put it back on now I think and I lost it because I was so tired from not sleeping. I'm wondering whether it's worth going back to see the GP again.
