| Hello, I'm a teenager and I'm not circumcisied, I don't know how to approach m parents to get circumcisied. I'm not afraid but it's more of a emberressing act then afraidness. Also what is the cost for a teenager circumcision, I heard it was about $1,000 which is too much. And how do you find a physican that do circumcisions, I know they do them at clinics and hospitals but where can you get references in each state. Thanks |

Personally, I am against circumcision unless really necessary doe to foreskin and other problems. Undergoing circumcision in an adult age is not so easy and there is a higher risk of complications.
Men who don’t have foreskin take longer time to erect and are less sensitive than guys with foreskin. Penile skin becomes more tough with age to protect the penis as there is no foreskin left to the job. Besides covering the penis, foreskin also lubricates it and makes sex easier.
Anyway, first thing you need to do is see an urologist and see what he has to say about it. If you suffer from foreskin problems, they may be a way to get rid of them another way, avoiding circumcision. If you have already made up your mind to undergo the procedure, then find an urologist who has experience in circumcision and make an appointment with him.
I reckon that costs do vary from $1000 to $1600. |

I feel very sorry for Zauberer and so many other teens in the same position. This may explain why some research suggests there is a marked upward spike in circumcisions in the age group from about 18 to early twenties, when boys are no longer bound to parents' permission or knowledge.
It is also very often only after years of embarrassment and other pain. Many of these boys go to great lengths to avoid nudity, sex and other social interactions during the same years when their hormones are raging the most. Many of us have also gone to great lengths to train our foreskins to keep retracted, either because we didn't know about or understand circumcision, or didn't know how to approach anyone about it (as the original post here illustrates), couldn't afford it, or other reason. What a pity, and for what? |
