How autoimmune hepatitis occurs?

If my immune system is decrease in his function does this mean that I am going to get autoimmune hepatitis? My next doctor visit is next month. In the mean time I want to learn more about this kind of hepatitis. What is happening in my organism? How autoimmune hepatitis occurs?

Autoimmune hepatitis is one of various diseases that are called autoimmune. Basically the main cause of these diseases is not known. The only thing that is certain is some kind of a mistake occurs in person’s immune system. Because of that your immunity starts to kill cells of your own organs. Decreased immune function is not the cause. But that condition can be provoked by medications as a treatment of autoimmune hepatitis.
