How can hip dislocation be diagnosed?

Hello! It seems to me that my boy is badly injured. My friend told me to that he has symptoms of hip dislocation and that I should take him to doctor immediately. My husband have taken him to pediatrician, but I want to know how hip dislocation can be diagnosed. Please, answer me this! Thank you!

Hello! I understand your concern. You should not be worried, I am sure that everything will be just fine. Regarding diagnosing hip dislocation, I can tell you that orthopedist will know if he has dislocation when he/she see your son’s position of the leg. Maybe it will use X-rays too. It is very important to stay calm down.
