Hello! Regarding the fact that it is diagnosed that my mother has scleroderma lupus and that she is waiting to her doctor to prescribe her medication, I want to ask you following: How can scleroderma lupus be treated? This is very important to me and my mother and I ask you all for help. Thank you in advance!

Hello! As far as I know, there is no cure for scleroderma lupus unfortunately. But, your mother’s doctor will prescribe some groups of drugs to your mother. For skin changes she will probably get some moisturizers; for circulation she will get drugs which will improve it (as Calcium channel blockers, Alpha blockers, etc); for joint stiffness and pain she will get nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs…
