We just recently found out that we have this disease in our family. My only sister is a carrier and her daughter hasn't mutated but she has to have her blood drawn every other week. My daughter has insurance so she and one of my sons ( who also has insurance) went to the same doctor and my son does not have it but my daughter does!. At this point she does not have to have her blood drawn because she is having so many female problems that she bleeds enough to keep her level of iron down. So since she has it we know I have to have it because her father does not. I came down with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pain, Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Chronic Fatigue and depression. I have been getting worse lately just like my right hand hurts so bad anymore and that is the hand that I had carpal tunnel surgery on about 6 years ago. I came down with a lung infection and had to take a 2nd round of antibiotics to get rid of it. I just don't feel normal anymore so what I am wondering is if this disease has mutated? I hope that somebody can answer my questions about what are the signs if this disease has mutated. Please help
