How come they didn't remove my apendix but only gave me meds?

Hello! I have got appendicitis and I have stayed in hospital for 24 hours. But, how come they didn't remove my appendix but only gave me meds. Now, I doubt that they were right about appendicitis. I think that something else was cause of my condition and doctors just did not tell me. What do you think about this? Thanks!

Hello! I can tell you for sure that you are not right about this. Namely, I think that you have never heard before for following (but you will hear now): some cases of appendicitis do not need operation. They can be treated with medication because infection caught only small part of appendix and it is possible to heal this with antibiotics.
