Hello. I'm 45 year old male and I'm interested to find out more about testing for certain drugs. You see, just the other day I was talking with my good friend who is also a policeman and he told me that, just the other day, the whole squad entered the local bar, where my son also hangs out, and they found a bunch of different types of narcotics, especially Methadone, in those kids.
Several of them spent their night in police station.
My son wasn’t there, but I would like to know is there any way I could check does he uses Methadone and could I do it in my home! Please help me!

Hi. I have just read your post and decided to help you. I have read several stuff about these problems and I think I could explain you everything. You see, methadone testing isn’t something you could do at your home, such as home pregnancy tests or similar.
It is far more complicated and only bigger laboratories can do it. Screening procedure is performed on automated instrument using one specific method called immunoassay methodology.
Even when urine is positive on drug- urine samples are sent to a second confirmation testing which will tell you definite results.
