How do you cure adrenal exhaustion?

Hello! My mother started to feel excessive fatigue and exhaustion. She used to sleep more then eight hours and woke up fatigued. She concentrated with difficulty and her immune function was decreased. When she went to her doctor he diagnosed adrenal exhaustion. I have never heard anything about it. How is adrenal exhaustion cured?

Hello! When adrenal glands don’t function optimally they can cause a condition called adrenal fatigue or adrenal exhaustion. Such condition often develops after periods of intense stress, when over-stimulated glands are unable to meet body's needs. There are certain things which should be avoided and they include: caffeine, ephedra, guarana, kola nut, and prescription stimulants. Your mother should consider a low-sugar diet, use of herbal teas and mate and basic multivitamin- B complex. Sometimes certain hormones can help resolve adrenal fatigue but this should be done only under the guidance of your doctor.
