Hi. I have a mother who is starting to show first symptoms of Alzheimers disease (sadly). But at least I can try to help. I would like to know what sort of medications are used for treating of Alzheimers disease. Does anybody here know?
Sorry to hear that. Well, you can help. There is quite a few drugs, because this disease isn’t only “memory problem”. You have Aricept,Cognex, Reminyl and Exelon. And probably the best one is Memantine (It drastically halps). Those are drugs “for AD”, but you can’t forget other drugs, for symptoms that accompany AD. Those are Zoloft - Depression, Xanax - Anxiety, BuSpur – Psychosis.
