My sister has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder few months ago. She is taking some medications and it seems that she is better. Recently I heard something interesting about orthomolecular medicine. I started to think that it maybe good solution for my sister. I want to know How does orthomolecular medicine work? Thanks!

The orthomolecular medicine is a kind of alternative medicine. That is the way of healing with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes and trace elements. Orthomolecular medicine describes the practice of preventing and treating disease by providing the body with optimal amounts of substances which are natural to the body. It tries to support the body in healing itself.
