How effective is the day after pill

I have had one good pervious experience with the day after pill... But, my current situation isn't seeming to be shapping up so good. I want to know what some peoples experiences have been. Was it effective or not? I have heard rumors that it doesn't work all the time... So I'd like to see what is up? I've heard so many second hand things. I'd like to hear something straight for the horse's mouth so to speak.

I'd say it's pretty effective... but it depends on how soon you take it.
