It's 8 days after bunion surgery to my left foot. Not much pain and minimul swelling. I had my right bunion removed 18 years ago and my foot was put in a walking cast. This time the foot is simply wrapped and bandaged. Doc says I can walk with a crutch on the heal or side of my foot, which I'm doing. My question is how delicate is the foot post op? Will walking too much or putting the foot down "wrong" cause a shift? Will the pin come out or move? I go back to the doc on Monday to have stiches removed. I was pretty drugged at the post op appointment, but I think he said I could start to wear my own shoe after this appointment! Is that right or was I dreaming? If there's anyone out there who knows, I'd love to hear from you.
