Hello, I have coronary artery scheduled for next week. Doctors said that the obstruction of my coronary arteries is extremely high. I would like to hear something about the surgery itself, how it is performed. I would lie if I say that I am not worried. So, does anyone know anything about it?

Open heart surgery is performed here, and the obstructed parts of coronary arteries are bypassed with the parts of the saphenous vein. When that part is removed from inside the leg, the chest is opened and then with the help of artificial pump that works instead of the heart, those vein parts replace the obstructed artery parts.
