How is myopia corrected by refractive surgery?

Hello! I have myopia and I really hate to wear glasses or contact lenses. I have lost five glasses so far and two contact lenses and I hate how I look with glasses. I was thinking about the refractive surgery. I think this could solve my problems but I don’t understand how is myopia corrected by refractive surgery.

Hello! Refractive eye surgery includes various methods of surgical remodeling of the cornea. Any surgery which is used to improve the refractive state of the eye is called refractive eye surgery. It decreases dependency on glasses or contact lenses and there are many methods such as: flap procedures (ALK, LASIK), surface procedures (PRK, LASEK), cornea incision procedures (RK) and others. Although refractive surgery is safe it is not recommended for everybody.
