How long do stimulant laxative (bisacodyl) side effects last?

My mother has a problem with a constant constipation. Even though she have tried with a strict diet, that did not help so she decided to take Bisacodyl. Stools are ok now, but the problem that occurred now, are the tremors she feels. How long do stimulant laxative (bisacodyl) side effects last?

These drugs irritate nerves in the intestines and speeds up the bowel movements. Bisacodyl has a long way of eliminating. It is first absorbed in duodenum, than it is released via gall bladder, one part is absorbed again, which gives us the answer why the effect of Bisacodyl lasts so long.
