How long will the swallowing pain last?

I am in the 10th day since my surgery and when I swallow it is only hurting on my right side but it is a shooting pain from my throat to my ear. It is horrible but only on the right side and makes me not want to even eat. How long is this pain going to persist? Does anyone have any feedback on this?
