Hello, I have had problems with my stool and I have decided to take Psylium. I take it for a month now and I am satisfied, My stool is regulated and my metabolism is fastened, sugar and cholesterol levels are ok now. I asked around about this drug and I know that it has plant fibers I would like to know how many grams of fiber are there in a tablespoon of psyllium?

Around 30 grams of plant fibers should be taken daily, and most of the people take no more than half of that number. There lies one of the reasons of irregular stool and constipation. For those fibers to do their role, water is needed (fibers absorb the water and increase in size). This helps the intestines to start moving more actively. Recommended dose is 2.3 grams or one tea spoon. Tablespoon has 7 grams of those fibers.
