How many older toddlers can be in one group in daycare center?

Hi, I m a mother of three kids and we take the older two to daycare center while my mom takes care of the youngest one while my husband and I are on work. Anyway, it looks like there are dozens of kids in daycare center and I am not sure that is how it should be. So, how many older toddlers can be in one group in daycare center?

Interesting question. I must admit that I never paid much attention to age structure of group my kids were in, back when they spend day hours in daycare center. I assume that is perhaps impossible to create big groups for each age, so they mix several ages. I am also not certain if that is the right thing to do, but if there is no problem in the group, then I guess it is ok.
