How much does it hurt to have a bone marrow aspiration?

I would like to know something more about bone marrow aspiration? Does it hurt, and if yes, how much does it hurt to have it done? It looks like my last several blood tests were so bad that doctors decided to see if there is something wrong with my bone marrow. I am so afraid of that procedure…

I think that now, the thing you should be more concerned about is the results of that aspiration/biopsy. The need for that procedure tells you that there might be something seriously wrong with your blood cells, even in the growth and development phase. As for the procedure it is maybe discomforting, but not painful.
