Hi. The first meeting should take place around 8 weeks. The practitioner will take your medical history and ask you some simple questions about your health, periods, lifestyle, and your family (medical history). This is the longest appointment, so use that time to ask more questions. Also, some clinical tests may be performed, such as blood pressure, urine screen, weight, breast exam, etc. You won`t have a vaginal exam done every time you visit your practitioner. Anyway, your appointments should be scheduled every 4 weeks until 28 weeks of pregnancy, every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, every week until 41 weeks, and, finally, every few days – until you give birth.
