How to cover for my surgery?

Hi. I am really fat and I want to go for a weight loss surgery. I have already made up my mind. I am aware of all risks and am familiar with the procedure. However, it is very expensive and I don`t know how to cover for my surgery. Does my insurance cover weight loss surgery?

Hi. I think you should contact your insurance company to find out if weight loss surgery is covered by your policy. I have heard that some insurance policies exclude all types of such surgeries. Some insurance companies simply won`t say if it`s a covered benefit, unless you give them full documentation and prove medical necessity. I was thinking about breast lift surgery myself, but these procedures are generally not covered by insurance.
