How to get my boyfriend to stop drinking?

Hi, I am 23 years old and I have met my boyfriend one year ago. When I met him I thought that I have found man of my life. He is doctor and he is 8 years older than me. We are functioning very well and we love each other. Only problem is his drinking. In the beginning I didn't notice it at all, later it started to happen from time to time and now he is drunk every second evening. He promised to me that he will stop drinking but nothing has changed. How to get him stop drinking?

Hi, my brother also had drinking problems. Usually there is some problem hiding behind drinking. Try again to talk to your boyfriend and try to find out what may be the reason for such behavior. Also you may try together to visit psychiatrist and discuss your problem. It is very important to react quickly because it may be late if his drinking would last too long.
