My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant. I have had back pain for years, and have been taking hydrocodone and oxycodone. Is it alright to take these if I do not know if I am pregnant yet?

I'd stay away from the oxycodone if you can. The hydrocodone is mostly "tylenol". However nothing is ever certain, if you are trying to get pregnant the fewer things are taking and the best care you take of yourself before hand will make the pregnancy easier for you.

Also, if you have back problems before hand, you might want to talk to your doctor. Pregnancy puts a lot of strain on your back, and depending on what you are being treated for might be really harmful for you.
