Hello,
I am pregnant 22 weeks and doctor discovered hypertension. I developed hypertension through pregnancy and I am really scared, but doctor say it’s nothing special. Is anyone with experience or suggestion here?
Hi,
As your doctor said- it is nothing special or unusual, so don’t be afraid, because fear can hurt your baby more than hypertension. Hypertension with pregnant women is defined as the development of new arterial hypertension. It doesn’t normally require treatment, but is monitored closely in order to rapidly identify pre-eclampsia and its life-threatening complications. But this cases occur rarely. In pregnancy hypertension treatment is limited, as many medicines that treat hypertension may negatively affect baby.
