I would like to help my friend who has serious hydrocodone problems. She has been using this med for almost a year now, and even though she wants to stop, she cannot. What can she do? She does not want to see a doctor, I think she is embarrassed, I guess she does not want her parents to find out about this. Is there a solution?
I guess that she needs some sort of help. Can you help her? If she cannot talk openly about her problem, then she will need someone to be there for her. I had the same problem, I started with painkillers because of my knee. It took me 2 months to get off it. My advice for her would be to start decreasing the dosage, so that one day she could stop using it. Still, with a doctors help, this should be a lot easier.
