Please help.. I have suffered for the last few years with constant ear infections, the longest lasting 3 months!!!and have been on antibitoics nearly permanently for 18 months.. I had a grommett fitted in March this year, and I have since had 9 infections, this one I have now I have been off work for 4 weeks, the doctor has said it is Labrynthitis, however antibiotics or other drugs are not working... I have major headaches, numbness on the face, my balance is very bad, my eyes keep shaking, vomiting, and a ear that is constantly pussing.... I have to wait 5 weeks for an ENT appointment and I am getting very depressed as no tablets seem to be working... has anyone got any advice please?

Can you afford to go private?
Your doctor should of done something sooner than this.
Just another thought. I know your eyes arnt connected to your ears, but you say your eyes are shaking.
May be go an have you eyes tested. Its amazing what they can tell from your eyes.

Good luck

Thanks for your reply..... The doctor says my eyes are shaking when he does all the balance and checks to do with my ears... I think I am gonna have to look to go private though I cant afford it.... I just feel like I am drunk, and my face swells and slurr my words.. not a nice feeling when you are trying to look after a family too... thank you

Not sure where you are from.
But if your british an going to the doctors is free, i think you should be knocking on your doctors door daily. Or see another doctor.
I have been private twice an its the doctor who still has to refer you to the private people.
You do jump the que.
I dont think we should have to go private an i didnt like que jumping. But when i was so worried it was my only answer.
Id still concider having your eyes checked too
