I got an IUD last month. This month I have had 3 periods. I want to know if this is normal. Some people say yes and then others say no.

The first 2 months of using an IUD can have constant bleeding/spotting, or strange bleeding patterns!

It is normal for the first month, just like if you had started hormonal BC pills, you need adjustment time.

IF this continues for 2-3 months, you do need to seek the advice of your doctor.

WHICH IUD do you have? Mirena WILL CAUSE that to happen, and it can last 3-6 months.

PARAGARD is less likely to cause that, and usually it goes away faster because it is not hormonal.
