Hi, I need help! Please, I don’t know what to do! I had sex several times with my boyfriend (without a condom!), and yesterday he told me that he has HPV. He said it like it’s nothing serious. I don’t know how could he do this to me, tell me that now, when it’s already too late.

When I read your message, I was in shock for five minutes. I don’t understand how could he sleep with you knowing what he has. Don’t talk to that man ever again! I will try to help you with few advises. I don’t think that there’s anything you can do now to prevent getting HPV if you slept with him several times without a condom. Go to your gynecologist, and tell him/her what happened. Maybe you’ll get genital warts very soon, and maybe they will appear in few years, triggered by some infection. Eventually, you will need help in treating HPV infection. Have your gynecologic exams regularly, because there are risks from getting a cervical cancer when you suufer from HPV. It’s a good thing that you asked for help, and I really hope that you will get some more advises.
