Hi, I have been using Atorvastatin along with special diet and exercise to regulate cholesterol level. In what way will this medicine help me?

Hi, you can take care of your health by controlling blood and cholesterol is very important for overall health. Atorvastatin acts by reducing production of cholesterol, by inhibiting enzymes that are involved in it’s synthesis. It belongs to group of statins. Cholesterol and other fats can build up plaques along the walls of the blood vessels. By this process of atherosclerosis, blood vessels get thinner and oxygen supply deceases. Important inner organs can stay without sufficient amount of oxygen and this can have malfunction as consequence. Additional measures like dieting, exercise and others are needed to control cholesterol level.
