Hi, my son is abusing alcohol, and I don’t know how to help him. He refuses to go to counselor. How can I stimulate him to do some changes?

Hi, it is a difficult situation, when you have to watch your own child drinking and being in such a situation. Perhaps, there is some authoritative person in his life tat can have some influence on him and make him go to the therapist. But, it requires a lot of work and support from whole family to identify the problem and deal with it. It is also crucial for success of the therapy that all family members have positive attitude toward admitting the problem and dealing with it. Neglecting it and denying leads nowhere.
