I am having my thyroid taken out, will I be able to concieve

I've been trying to conceive for 5 years, but I've always had low and high thyroid, never been able to control it, now I am going to have my thyroid taken out, and I want to know if I am going to able to concieve after this surgery. What do I do after this happens. I am afraid that I would never be able to conceive

throid disfunction can halt ovulation by upsetting the balance of the bodies natural reproductive hormones. One way to tell if you are ovulating is to test the level of a pituatary hormone called LH by using an ovulation predictor kit. the kit will show you if you have a surge in lh indicates ovulation. If there is too much or too little thyroid hormone, ovulation may not occur.
