I am hearing a heart beat in my left ear for three years.

It's been three and half years now that I have been having noise like heart beat in my left ear. I had all kinds of test but nothing came up. So, my doctor tells me I have to live with this. At times I think I am going crazy the noise never stops. Does any body have any suggestion? :

I'm 21 and I've had the same problem for a few years as well.

My doctor also told me that I have to live with it!

The heart beat is only in my left ear, and is usually a problem when I'm trying to go to sleep. Sometimes I'll get up and try to do something to keep myself busy- as if to almost forget about it. and sometimes it works.

Sometimes I just try to keep my head elevated on a bunch of pillows.
