| Hello. I am a 21 year old woman. I was on the birth control pill for about 4 years. I had to stop taking it, because I gained a lot of weight. Anyway, my boyfriend of 6 years, have started using condoms again. I have been off the birth control pill for about a month. The time when my period was supposed to be on, I found brown blood (or whatever it is) in my panties. It was there for about 3 days. I took a pregnancy test (at the doctor's office) and the test was negative. My boyfriend and I have been VERY careful, I even watch him put the condom on!! What's wrong with me? I can't be pregnant! |

| It is normal for your period to take a while to get back into a pattern after so long on birth control. You may have unusually heavy, light, late, early or missing periods for a while |

It is completely normal to have stranger bleeding while you are going all natural without hormones..
Have you considered an IUD? They are hormone free, and very safe and effective. I have one  Happy user of paragard, as I cannot tolerate hormones at all, for reasons other than weight gain. With the IUD there are NO HORMONES, so you would not have the same issues. |
