I just recently had a overlapping sphincteroplasty on Jan.31/07.
I am just concerned about stool leaking from my vagina, aswell as gas coming from my vagina...is this normal while in post-op. I heard that this could be the case for 6-8 weeks after operation...I am worried as I am afraid that I will need to have a Vaginal Fistula repair.

Hello. My name is Lori, and I was wondering if you had this surgery due to childbirth trauma? I had a 4th degree laceration in which I tore through the muscles of my rectum. I have recently seen a colorectal surgeon, and this was one of the options. I would like to know your thoughts on this. Please email me at scottlority@comcast.net
Thanks. I hope you are doing well.
