I had tonsillectomy eleven weeks ago.

The feeling of swelling in the uvula area still persists. I observed this was burned during surgery. I have seen my General Practitioner and she says it is progressing ok. Is it just a matter of time till it feels 'normal' again? If I talk 'too much', my voice and throat feel constantly strained and tired, which was just one of the reasons I had a tonsillectomy at the age of 57years. I am optimistic it will improve but would love an independant opinion, and wonder if this has happened to others.
