I have a dark blueish raised spot on my buttocks

I have notice and felt a raised spot on my butt. It is situated on the upper area just below the lower back. I am not sure how long its been there as it is not an area easily visible by myself. As far as i am aware it has been there for a few months and does not appear to have grown in size. It does not itch, is not crusted and does not bleed, however it does feel sore at times to touch and if pressed against a hard surface. Could this be skin cancer as it is on an area never exposed to sunlight, or could it be a cyst or boil of some sort? It is hard to tell whether it is a mole or not. Incidentally i am a 54 year old female.
