I have a horrible Lortab addiction, what do I do?

I spend in excess of $800 a month on my addiction, and I drink alcohol with them. I can't go without them either. Please help I'm a out of control addict, and I'm spiraling towards bankruptcy, amazingly my wife doesn't know about the addiction, if she were to find out she would divorce me. What can I do? I'm even on them now. She thinks I have a tiny alcohol problem, because whenever she finds me on them I tell her i've been drinking a little. PLEASE HELP ME

Hi there, I think that you are in a hard position but you do need to tell people if you want to get help. I don't know if your wife would leave you, but someone in your life needs to know so you can quit. You never will if you don't. You have to take that first step. I sthere someone you could tell?

I have a longtime friend I'm planning to tell about it now. I'm scared to death she'll leave me, and I'll ruin my career. Any ideas on what steps to follow? Or a way to ease the symptoms of withdraw?

I'm three weeks clean. I had a very hard time of it, but I told my wife I was going on a hunting trip with a friend, and stayed with him for almost two weeks.

I'm so proud of myself.
