3 years ago I was found to have a 3cm mass on my right adrenal. I havent felt well for a very long time (since well before this mass was found) at the time I had a CT scan done and 24hr urine (normal). Also had a biopsy done in which the doc told me the results were 'ok'. The doc at the time decided it was nothing to worry about and told me to 'go home and lose weight and I will feel better'. Yes I am obese but before this diagnosis I had managed to already lose 21 kilos and am still slowly steadily losing weight. My symptoms at present are this: Dizziness (used to be only on standing, now can happen any time anywhere, feels like my head is tightening up and I am going to fall), palpitations (not too frequent), nausea, exhaustion, pain across my middle front & back, chest, left arm and in the last few months my lower right side.
Another CT scan since has shown that the mass has grown to 3.4x3.3x3.3cm
Can you tell me please, do I have anything to worry about with this mass? Could it be cancer? I am so very tired and just want this over with
Thanks in advance for your help

Well, here are some info about adrenal masses including tumors and cysts. Cysts are said to be rare and very hard to diagnose but if they are present and cause symptoms they should be removed. However, if the cysts are small and don’t cause any trouble, they are left alone but watched over time.

As for the tumors, those less than 4 cm are also left in place again if asymptomatic. If they cause tenderness or flank pain, they are to be removed.

With so many present symptoms, I would talk to the doc again or sought another opinion. If the symptoms are not related to the adrenal mass, their cause should be found.
